The road to eating disorder recovery begins here.

WHY INDIVIDUAL RECOVERY COACHING?

Eating disorder recovery coaching is a specialized form of support designed to help individuals overcome eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, and other related conditions. Recovery coaches are trained professionals who provide personalized guidance, practical strategies, and emotional support to individuals on their journey to recovery. From meal support, to daily check-ins, to virtual coaching sessions, my mission is to curate the most comprehensive and accessible form of care in this industry.

Let's face it. As much as residential centers or PHPs are viable options, it isn't always feasible to travel, pause careers, disrupt family life, or find accessible treatment options. Recovery coaching offers a holistic, personalized approach that allows you to stay accountable, enhance motivation, utilize practical tools, and create a comprehensive care plan that's right for you.

Personalized Support

Recovery coaches work closely with clients to understand their unique challenges, triggers, and goals. They create tailored recovery plans that address the specific needs of each individual.

Accountability and Motivation

Coaches provide consistent check-ins and accountability to help clients stay on track with their recovery goals. They offer motivation and encouragement, helping clients overcome setbacks and celebrate progress.

Behavioral Strategies

Coaches employ various evidence-based techniques to help clients develop healthier eating habits, cope with stress, and manage emotions. This can include meal planning, mindfulness practices, and cognitive-behavioral strategies.

Emotional Guidance

A significant part of recovery coaching involves offering emotional support. Coaches help clients navigate the complex emotions associated with eating disorders, such as guilt, shame, and anxiety, and work to build self-esteem and body positivity.

Skill Building

Clients learn practical skills for managing everyday situations that may trigger disordered eating behaviors. This can include stress management techniques, coping mechanisms for dealing with societal pressures, and tools for maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Collaboration with Other Professionals

Recovery coaches often work in conjunction with therapists, dietitians, and medical professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to recovery. This collaborative effort ensures that all aspects of the individual's health and well-being are addressed.

I'm interested

Groups can be formed once at least 3 participants submit the interest form below. Groups run in 6-week cycles. Time and date subject to availability.

Michaela was an amazing asset to my journey through my eating disorder. It was a comforting experience and they lead the meetings with such understanding and compassion. We had built an amazing relationship between us. She created a solid plan for my recovery and helped me stick to it. Things were difficult but as I said before they lead with understanding and compassion. They expressed that she was a survivor of ED herself and that was very comforting for me as well. Having someone who had also been through this journey was so understanding on mine. I thank Michaela for all the help and support that they gave me.
