Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are two incredible adult indie-animation web series created by Vivienne "Vivziepop" Medrano. Hazbin Hotel's warm reception in 2019 allowed for the creation of Helluva Boss, and both have certainly taken the world by storm. From California to the UK, you'd be hard pressed to attend a cosplay convention without seeing one of hell's denizens skulking the grounds. Both shows explore an expansive and fascinating world made of hellish beings, included Goetian royals, the 7 deadly sins, overlords, imps, hellhounds, succubi, and sinners to name a few. In addition to dynamic world-building, the Helluverse offers incredible music and an illustrious voice cast, with stars like Youtube icon Brandon Rogers, legend Richard Horvitz, Tony-nominated sensation Bryce Pinkham, and the incredible Edward Bosco. What started as an independent team of budding animators flourished into two ground-breaking, hit series buzzing with momentum. Hazbin Hotel's first season will premiere through A24 in 2023, while Helluva Boss is currently in production for its 3rd season.
Many of you hellians likely caught the cosplay bug since the introduction of these eclectic, captivating characters. I myself have come down with quite a strong case since my introduction to Helluva Boss in particular. The wonderful world of Helluverse is ever-expanding, and the excitement from fans is practically overflowing! It's time to celebrate the artistry within this fandom that brings these richly intriguing and devilishly charming characters to life.
